It didn't work out....

It took me a year and a half to notice this man, and about fifteen minutes to fall in love with him. Our story is unique and I'm not sure we'll ever know the real details, but I imagine it went something like this: My Mom had a few glasses of wine with her co-worker, Justin's Mom. My Mom and her Mom talk about how great their kids are but just can't meet the right guy/girl. Drinks flow, brilliant idea sets in....BAM we're set up on a blind date. How'd it pan out you ask? Horribly. It wan't the worst encounter to date, (pun intended) but it certainly was devoid of emotion; neither of us were ready to be on a proper date.

Over a year and a half later I notice a guy on my newsfeed blowing up my Facebook wall with pictures of Crossfit and his adorable, yet awkward sitting, dog Hildi. Naturally, my curiosity got the best of me and I sent a "hello stranger, how you been" message. Who could have anticipated our reunion dinner would go so fabulously. We ate food truck deliciousness and had drinks at a trendy bar in the Mission.

I told the man I had no interest in dating, I accidentally split my pants while trying to show him my Crossfit squat, and with all my might, prayed the date wouldn't end. He kissed me on the cheek, put me in the cab, and wished me well. After a long heart to heart with my cab driver on the way home, I realized that was not only one of the best dates I'd been on in a while, but I actually liked this guy....like a lot. I called him up, invited him to Super Bowl the next Sunday and that's when I knew....this guy rocked my world.
